Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
The NHS Covid-19 vaccination bus is at Asda Smithdown Road, on Saturday 24 April between 10am and 4pm.
If you’re in one of the following groups and you haven’t had your first dose yet, go along and get vaccinated:
· Aged 50 or over
· Clinically extremely vulnerable (you were asked to shield)
· Have an underlying health condition
· Have a learning disability
· Are an unpaid carer
· Are a frontline health and care worker
If you’re younger than 50 you can only have a vaccination on the bus if you’re in one of these groups. This is so that the NHS can focus on people who are most vulnerable to Covid-19 first.
If you’re under 30 and you’re in one of these groups, contact your GP to arrange a vaccination – unfortunately you can’t get vaccinated on the bus.
Only first doses are available on the bus – once you’ve had your first dose, you’ll be invited back for a second 11 to 12 weeks later. For more information about the vaccine visit www.liverpoolccg.nhs.uk
CENSUS DAY is Sunday 21st March.
Mark Medd from STEC (Speke Training & Education Centre) has been in touch with the Children's Centre to say that his team can assist with completing the form online, (he is available to be contacted on Sunday as well.)
Mark can be contacted on 0151 486 4933 or 07810632879.
Mark explained that the deadline for submissions is the end of April and after this date agencies will contact households to encourage completion of the form.
Mark also explained that if the Census is not completed, a Census Officer will contact households. If households still do not return or submit a completed Census they are committing a crime and will be contacted by the Non-Compliance team.
Dear Parents / Carers,
As school breaks up for February half term we all still have an important job to ensure that any contacts of a confirmed case are identified and given details of isolation. This will help to keep the virus under control and protect family members and friends.
The school will continue to monitor our email ourladyp-ao@ourlady-pri.liverpool.sch.uk and school mobile 07471314454 until 12 noon on Monday 15th February. If your child has been attending school we ask you to inform us up until 12 noon on Monday 15th February if your child:
Please do not delay in informing school
This will allow school to work with families to contact trace where necessary.
If your child develops symptoms or takes a test in which they are positive after 12 noon on Monday 15th February they do not need to inform school.
Dear Parents and Carers,
Firstly, thank you for all your consideration and support during what was a difficult first week of the Spring term 2021. You may already have seen the letter from Steve Reddy and Matt Ashton but I just wanted to remind you of the attendance arrangements for vulnerable pupils and children of critical workers.
We would love to be able to welcome all of the children back to school but we must ensure that we follow guidance and minimise the risk of virus transmission in order to keep everyone in our school family safe.
We are asking that children of critical workers only attend school when it is necessary for them to do so. In other words, in line with updated government guidance issued on Friday, even if you are a critical worker, if your child(ren) can remain at home rather than attend school, on some or all days, then they should. Please only use the offer of provision when it is crucial for you to undertake your critical role.
Thank you for helping us to keep everybody safe during this difficult time.
M Burke. Headteacher

Essential use of face coverings
It is now essential that parents and carers in Liverpool wear face coverings when collecting and dropping off their children at school. Our school staff will also be wearing a face covering if supervising during collection or drop off. Those who refuse or cannot wear face coverings should maintain social distancing of at least 2m from children and other parents/ carers.
We thank you in advance for ensuring greater levels of safety in your school and our communities.
Many thanks,
Mr Burke

Dear parents,
ALERT: We have seen a significant increase in COVID-19 positive cases this week in Liverpool. We need your help and ask that your child limits group contact with friends over the weekend. When out and about your whole family should stay at least 2 metres away from anyone not from your household, wash hands often and wear face coverings when appropriate. Thank you for your support. Hello everyone
I hope this finds you all safe and well. In our 'Newsletters' section we have shared a letter from Steve Reddy about Liverpool's position on the reopening of schools.
Take care and best wishes
Mr Burke
Hello everyone,
I hope you are all keeping safe and well and are looking after one another. I’m sure many of you will have seen the government’s announcement last night about schools possibly reopening in the not too distant future. At this stage it is difficult for us to answer your questions about when and how schools might reopen. We are waiting to receive more advice from the government about what this means for our school.
In the short-term, nothing has changed and we will provide more information in the coming days and weeks once we are able to do so. Please keep an eye on our website, app and Twitter for updates.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Mr Burke.
