Personal, Social and Emotional Development.

Children’s personal, social and emotional development (PSED) is crucial for children to lead healthy and happy lives, and is fundamental to their cognitive development and this weaves through a thread throughout our curriculum. Curriculum enhancements and opportunities that give children wider life experiences are planned for. Parents are kept fully informed of their children’s progress and well-being and are invited to share information and to support their children’s learning at home. The curriculum provides no limits or barriers to the children’s achievements, regardless of their backgrounds, circumstances or needs. The high ambition it embodies is shared by all staff. Teaching is designed to help children remember long term what they have been taught and to integrate new knowledge into larger concepts.
