Hello to Y2 Parents, Carers and Children!
Firstly, I'd just like to say 'Hello' and I hope that you're all doing well. We are in unprecedented times and I think that everybody is in the same position. We've never experienced anything like this before but I want you to know that I am working behind the scenes to support in any way that I can.
I'd just like to point you to activities and where you can find them. PLEASE, PLEASE take notice of the following message: We DO NOT expect you to try and replicate a full school day at home. It's physically impossible for you to do.
I put a suggested timetable on twitter and you'll see that 'formal, sit-down' types of activities are limited to one hour per day. Lots of the time can be spent learning how to bake, cook, clean, tidy-up, doing laces, telling the time etc. Please do not stress yourselves out at this time.
Here is where you can find work:
Purple Mash- I've set lots of activities for over Easter on here. You can e-mail me for your login if you were unable to pick up your pack before we closed. I will respond to all work set on here.
Twitter- I'm posting some supplementary activities here, too. Lots of the other teachers are also doing this. It's a great platform to follow for little ideas and hints. @OLA_LIVERPOOL
TWINKL- Now have a free service called 'Home Learning HUB' you choose the age of the child and it will provide you with a full daily lesson structure if you'd like to follow that.
PACKS- I sent out a 104 page 'Home Learning pack' with pencils etc. You can use this for a more 'traditional approach'.
Finally, I'd just like to say that Myself and Mrs Mitchell are missing the children and we can't wait until we are able to be together again. Keep safe, Keep well and be good for your families!
Love, Mr Finnan x
